Simplified Chords How to Play The Only Exception by Paramore. Hi guys! I created this post because I want to share how I explore what's the easiest way to play the song entitled "The Only Exception" by Paramore. Actually, the reason why it becomes easy to play is the Capo.
Put the Capo on your guitar on the second fret and the chords for the said song will be:
Intro/Verse A -- Em -- DM7
Chorus A -- Em --DM7
Bridge C#m7 -- A -- E -- D
Chorus/ Outro A -- Em -- DM7
G -- A -- D
That's the chords how I played the whole song. That's all for now guys!

VLC Media Player Tips & Tricks
VLC 1.1.1 has released to widespread acclaim. The media player of choice for many, has packed in a horde of new features and marked changes in the design and interface. There are only two issues we have with the new design, which we will put out of the way first. The playback bar has jazzed up buttons, which won’t appeal to those who went for the minimalist charm of VLC. They have also inverted the direction in which the scroll works with the media, you scroll down to go backward, and scroll up to go forward which is counterintuitive to everyone and irritating to the long term users. Now for the good stuff.
Take Snapshots Of The Video
Go to Tools > Preferences > Video. Under video snapshots, enter the directory, a prefix, check ‘sequential numbering’ and choose a format. The default is .png.
To take the snapshot while the video is playing, go to Video > Snapshot.
Alternatively, you can take a snapshot using the keyboard with the hotkey [Shift] + [S].
To use a button to take a snapshot, go to Tools > Advanced Controls. The snapshot button appears on the playback bar.
Adjust The Colour Of The Video
In the playback bar, click on the icon that looks like the equaliser for lesser media players. This is right next to the playback button.
Then select the ‘video effects’ tab. The ‘basic’ tab will be selected by default. Check the ‘image adjust’ checkbox. From here, you can adjust the hue, saturation, contrast, brightness and gamma of the image. There is also a ‘brightness threshold’ slider.
The changed take place in real time, an this can be used to enhance dark videos.
Stream Video Across A Network
This can be used to broadcast a video over the Net, or to stream videos to everyone’s PC in the office at once, or to everyone’s laptops in a conference room.
Click on advanced open file, select ‘show more options’.
On the bottom right corner, next to the play and cancel buttons will be a small additional options button. Click on this, and select stream. A stream output dialogue will pop up.
You can select the encapsulation, the video and audio codecs and the bitrate. Remember that not all formats can be converted to all other formats, this is a limitation of the format and not of the player. Under outputs, select a protocol. Selecting multiple protocols will stream the video output in all the protocols.
To open a stream, go to ‘Advanced open file’, select the ‘Network’ tab and select the relevant protocol and address.
Overlay A Logo On The Video
Go to Tools > Preferences. Select ‘All’ under ‘Show Settings”
Go to Video > Subtitles / OSD > Overlays.
Click on ‘Logo Subfilter’ under Sub Picture Filter Module. Enter the path and filename in the bar below.
To do this via command line, go to Tools > Add Interface > Command Line.
Add A Ticker To The Video
Go to Tools > Preferences, select ‘All’ under ‘Show Settings’
Go to Video > Subtitles/OSD > Marquee. Enter the text in the marquee, and the text will scroll across the screen while the video is playing.
You can also tweak the settings to get an RSS feed to scroll across the video. Copy the feed url, then go to Tools > Preferences, select ‘all’ under ‘show settings;
Go to Video > Subtitles/OSD tick on “RSS and Atom feed display’ and enter the URL in the bar.
There is an option to display or not display images in the feeds.
Add Effects To The Video
We are not sure why this feature is provided, but it is fun and users may discover innovative uses for them.
Click on the effects button. Go to Video Effects > Image Modification.
The gradient effect gives a cartoonish feel to the video. The motion blur has a factor slider. These are the two main effects.
The other effects include waves, motion detect, noise, water and psychedelic. You can apply a selection of these effects at once to the video. The changes take place in real time.
To Resume Playback From A Specific Time
If you were interrupted while watching a video or a movie, and want to resume from the exact moment you left off, there are two ways to do it.
While playing the movie, go to Playback > Go to specific time, and enter the time in dialogue that pops up.
The other way to do this is to go to Media > Advanced open file, check ‘Show more options’ and enter the Start Time.
Use VLC As A Transcoder
Open a file, then go to Media > Convert/Save. In the file tab, click on the Convert/Save button.
Select the ‘File’ checkbox under ‘Outputs’. Enter a file name. Make sure that draw raw input is unchecked.
Then select an encapsulation, that is basically the format under ‘profile’.
Select a video codec and audio codec under the ‘Video codec’ and ‘Audio codec’ tabs.
You can save files in a format to be played on a portable media device.
Click on Save.
Change The Jump Settings
There are hotkeys to jump backwards and forwards through the file (refer to the list of hotkeys). The default values for the ‘Very short’, ‘Short’, ‘Medium’ and ‘Long’ jumps can be changed as per individual preferences.

The loop button should appear on the playback bar. Open the file you want to play, click the button when you come to the part on the media you want to start the loop at. Click on the button again at the part of the file you want the loop to end. VLC will now start playing that portion of a file in an endless loop till you click on the loop button again to stop the loop.

Microsoft to Ship Windows 7 Service Pack in 2011
Fresh on the heels of the beginning of beta testing for the first service pack for Windows 7, Microsoft is now confirming that it will ship the final version next year.
When Microsoft began beta testing the first service pack for Windows 7, many people took that as a sign that the final version would debut later this year. Not so.
Microsoft has now confirmed that Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) will be released in the first half of next year, an event that will only accelerate what has already been a brisk adoption of the new operating system among corporate buyers. Datamation has the details.
A week after Microsoft began officially beta testing the first service pack for Windows 7, it has revealed that it's planning to ship the final version sometime during the first half of next year.
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) had not said when to expect Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) to be formally released, but given that the SP1 beta was released broadly last week at the company's Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) in Washington, many observers had expected it to debut as early as the end of 2010.
Microsoft Begins Yahoo Search Integration
As it looks to narrow the gap with market leader Google, Microsoft has begun testing its search engine technology on Yahoo's sites and plans to begin transitioning advertisers later this summer.
Microsoft has not been shy about its ambitions to compete in the search market. After a failed bid to acquire Yahoo, the company reached an agreement with the Web pioneer to merge the two search engines, with Microsoft powering the engineering platform.
Now, Microsoft has begun testing its Bing search technology on Yahoo's sites, and hopes to begin transitioning advertisers to its adCenter platform later this summer. E-Commerce Guide takes a look.
Microsoft has begun testing delivery of search results to Yahoo's search sites through its Bing technology, according to a blog post Tuesday. If the tests don't cause any serious hiccups for the two systems, then the search partners may begin transitioning U.S. and Canadian advertisers to Microsoft's (NADSAQ: MSFT) adCenter later this summer.
"As we continue to make progress implementing various aspects of the Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO) and Microsoft Search Alliance, our two companies continue to work together towards the goal of providing a quality transition experience for advertisers in the U.S. and Canada in 2010, while being mindful of the holiday season," Microsoft spokesperson Carolyn Miller said in a post to the adCenter Blog.

Seagate releases its Solid State Hybrid Drive, the Momentus XT, for Rs. 6,800
Seagate today officially announced the release of ground breaking Solid State Hybrid Drive technology based on Adaptive Memory, which learns and optimizes the drive’s performance for each user by moving frequently used information into the flash memory for faster access. It simultaneously unveiled the Momentus XT, the world’s fastest 2.5-inch laptop PC hard drive to distribution channels, VARs and system builders in India. The Momentus XT reportedly combines the performance of both a SSD (Solid State Drive) & hard disk drive, delivering strong performance across both random and sequential data access, at lower costs than SSD. The Momentus XT solid state hybrid drive is claimed to boot up to 100 percent faster than traditional 5400RPM drives, the mainstream hard disks for laptop PCs, and sets new benchmarks for real-world system performance for laptops and gaming systems. Adaptive Memory technology reportedly uses intelligent algorithms designed to learn and adapt to the users’ most demanding needs and thereby delivering custom tailored performance for every individual user.
At the technology briefing, held to demonstrate the ground breaking new drive technology, Rajesh Khurana, Seagate Country Manager for India and SAARC had this to say, “We see the Momentus XT drive as a game changer, a product heralding a new generation of hard drives that combine SSD and HDD capabilities so that laptop users don’t have to make trade-offs on speed, cost or capacity. The feedback we’ve received from customers, industry experts and early reviews worldwide has been overwhelmingly positive, and Seagate will continue to drive innovation that provides more value and a better computing experience to consumers.”
Today’s high-performance SSDs for mobile computing are known to cost almost 10 times more than hard disk drives of the same capacity, with the price of a 250GB SSD outstripping even the cost of many laptop PCs. As a result, most consumers and system builders are not in a position to bear or pay the staggering price, as a compromise for the greater speed and silent operation of SSDs. Additionally, SSDs claim to offer fewer capacity options than hard disk drives.
The Momentus XT drive is said to be a “best-of-both-worlds” solution that combines a 7200RPM spin speed, 4GB of solid state memory and Seagate’s Adaptive Memory technology to deliver unsurpassed hard drive performance at the given price point.
The Momentus XT drive purportedly installs easily as a traditional 9.5mm-high notebook drive for new systems or laptop upgrades. It is also claimed that unlike earlier hybrid drives, it operates independently of the operating system & the motherboard chipset. The Momentus XT drive is reportedly shipping in capacities of 250GB, 320GB and 500GB at their MSRPs of Rs 6,800, Rs 7,400 and Rs 8,100 respectively in India.

How to increase the speed of your broadband internet connection. - I noticed this past few days, that many people are searching the internet how they can boost the speed of the internet specially broadband wireless internet connection. Maybe it was the arrival of the typhoon Basyang last week.
I'm one of those who affected the typhoon Basyang. I have lost internet connection all day. And some of the internet shops here in our area also lost connection. I am worried about my blog and I have done nothing but to wait. And finally the next day we have now connection in the internet.
For those who's looking for a way to speed up their internet connection, I don't have any idea! Maybe you should search Google to find it. Guys! The comment box are open below if you know how to incerease speed of internet connection and you might want to share. Thanks!

Remove Internet Explorer from Windows 7
Let’s begin, though Internet Explorer is a good browser, but it’s not up to the mark of the current web standard requirements. Simply put, it’s outdated. Once while clicking a link somewhere, I realized it was being loaded on IE instead of the default browser Firefox & Opera (my favorite!)
That annoying thing wasn’t enough that I realized there’s no Internet Explorer in the “Uninstall a Program” thing in the Control Panel. I was furious and what I wanted was to just get rid off IE and take revenge for taking place of my Firefox without my permission. :P
Ultimately, I found out how you get rid of that nasty browser. Here’s how it goes:
2. On the left-pane, click on “Turn Windows features on or off”.Un-check the box next to “Internet Explorer X” (“X” will be the version of Internet Explorer.)3. Click “Yes” and you’re done.
That’s it! Now you won’t see that Internet Explorer anywhere on your PC. :D

Epic Web Browser - the first free browser with an Indian origin!
A Bangalore based company by name Hidden Reflex has reportedly announced the launch of its first browser "Epic", which intends to make the Indians all over the world proud.
Epic, is presumably the first completely Indian made web browser based on the Mozilla platform, and is apparently bundled with a rich assortment of India centric features. Before we take a sneak peek at the details of the browser, it would make sense to have a background introduction about the company.
The company was purportedly founded by the former U.S. based Engineer by name Alok Bhardwaj, way back in 2007. However, the company has reportedly based in Bangalore and rapidly expanding its workforce from a mere three member team to a sizable bunch of people, focusing on various products. Among them, the first one, Epic, has reportedly been launched and another one said to be still in the making.
Epic is said to hold a lot of promise with its bright background colours and highly customizable features, including about 1,500 themes readily available & compatible with the browser. The browser is also said to incorporate a host of widget-like sidebar features that include: Twitter,Facebook and other social networking services. However, the downside is that, it presumably allows you to open only one widget per window.
The icing on the cake is the presence of built-in anti-virus software within Epic, that is an industry first for any browser. Epic is also said to support about a dozen Indian languages and incorporate an India content sidebar that consolidates news headlines, TV to live cricket commentary and many such exciting features. It also reportedly features a wide-array of productivity applications including a free word processor, video sidebar and my Computer Browser.

The Service Pack 1 beta for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 has landed, promising many new features
After a few leaked builds now and then, we finally get to have our hand on what we can call the 'official' Windows 7 SP1 beta. Yes, the service pack for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008R2 is now up for testing at Microsoft TechNet site.
Apart from the hotfixes and security patches, the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 beta brings a handful of new features. The virtualization capabilities of Server 2008 R2 have been enhanced with the integration of some tools; the update also adds RemoteFX, an upcoming technology that enhances the visual capabilities of Remote Desktop clients. It also comes with a Dynamic Memory handling feature for the server edition. On the Windows 7 front, the update promises to add support for USB 3.0 and improve the performance of WiFi, Bluetooth and all other aspects of networking.
Despite being a hefty 1GB+ download, the update installs quicker than any other Windows Service Packs. You can download the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 beta from here, but it requites a technet membership for you to download.

Microsoft and Facebook open Docs.com to the general public, unveil new features
As of last week, Docs.com, a collaborative effort between Facebook and Microsoft, was opened to the general public. This is what Microsoft has written about the service on the site:
Meant to allow users to create and share Microsoft Office documents over Facebook, Microsoft has unveiled a new feature soon after its full release: support for Facebook fan pages.
This will allow administrators of Facebook fan pages to use and emplace Office documents, as supplements to their content. This feature seems unusual, and Microsoft admits that it wasn’t initially envisioned as a function of the service: “When we built the service, we didn't anticipate this as a core scenario. We were focused on individuals sharing documents at any point in time.”
During the closed user group stages however, there were innumerable requests for exactly this feature, the ability to share documents via fan pages. It seemed that some publishers thought of sharing documents as a type of Web publishing, and it would also serve as a way to bypass the friend limit.
Commenting about Docs.com as a platform, Pat Kinsel, Product Manager of Docs.com at Microsoft's FUSE Labs, went on to say that the site has a long way to go before it catches up with Google Docs, which additionally gives users the ability to share and collaborate on non Microsoft Office documents. Other Google Docs advantages according to Kinsel include searchable docs, and the tight integration of Gmail and Google Docs.
But, Kinsel pointed out that revisions are coming out on a weekly basis, and that for now, “growth isn’t the priority; the experience is.” Microsoft is also looking for better integration between mail and document sharing, and Kinsel shared that it’s a definite milestone on their “roadmap.”
As for the unusual and niche space that the new Docs.com service will occupy on Facebook, Kinsel was of the opinion that they’d have to wait and see the true potential in the social networking sphere. “The big open question is whether Facebook users can be leveraged and steered to productivity scenarios, or is this a site where people want to goof off. I think we're at the forefront of finding that out.” Check it out here.

Microsoft releases Windows 7 Touch Pack as a free download
The Windows 7 Touch Pack has finally been released to the general public as a free download, and now anyone with a touch-screen display and a Windows 7 OS can enjoy it.
The 293MB download [here] includes bundled touch software, such as three Microsoft Surface applications (Globe, Collage, Lagoon) as well as three touch games (Rebound, Garden Pond, Blackboard). For more information about the above games and applications, check out this page.
A few caveats…Touch Pack support only extends to multi-touch screens, and not to single-touch ones. And those of you who use a multi-monitor setup will be unhappy to note that only your primary monitor will support the Touch Pack’s applications, and your secondary monitor will not. This is especially unhelpful for those who use a touch-screen display as their secondary monitor.

Opera Mini 5.1 sneaks into the market
Opera has reportedly announced the release of the latest version of its immensely popular mobile web browser - the Opera Mini. Opera Mini, happens to be the most widely used mobile browser in the world, with over 61 million users worldwide. According to Opera's own estimation, it is functional in about 3,000 mobile models across the globe.
The latest version of the browser - Opera Mini 5.1 sneaks into the market just a few months after Opera Mobile 5 major release. The new version is claimed to further enhance the browsing experience on mobiles with limited memory, that frequently throw "out-of-memory" messages whilst browsing. The update is said to include a new optimized browser skin which allows multiple pages to be open at the same time, quicker scrolling through pages, and an overall enhanced browsing performance. Opera has reportedly recommended this version of the browser for Nokia S40 based mobile phones with limited memory, such as the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic, Nokia 6300 and Nokia 2700 handsets. This version is also said to be optimized for screens with a small screen size, such as the Sony Ericsson K550i and Sony Ericsson W810i.
Users of high-end devices and smartphones are not required to update to this version, as it would serve no purpose. Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software, has reportedly stated, "The goal with Opera Mini is to make the Web available to anyone, anywhere, regardless of where they come from or the handset they have."
You could download the latest version of Opera from your native mobile browser by visiting the site: http://m.opera.com and the interesting part is that, Opera is expected to automatically select the optimized version for your phone

Google releases an open-source App Engine application Thoughtsite
To help developers gain better insight into how to create a Google App Engine application, Google has open-sourced Thoughtsite -- a discussion forum build on Google App Engine.
oogle Apps Engine is Google scalable solution for creating web application. It competes with Amazon EC2, and Microsoft Windows Azure among others in providing developers to with a solution which scales with demand.
Both Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Windows Azure run applications on virtual machines, letting developers launch additional instances of their server appliance as demand increases, and charge hourly based on the number of instances launched. Google App Engine on the other hand scales the application automatically and charges based on how many CPU resources your application uses.
Google App Engine provides some advanced features, and while there are many open source applications available for Google App Engine, Google believes there is a shortage for fully functional applications which showcase all the features of Google App Engine. Thoughtsite is supposed to a fully open source application which covers this need.
While Thoughtsite has been created with the aim to educate developers how to use Google App Engine by giving them an open source “comprehensive” application to play with, the application can be used to host a discussion forum on your own domain.
According to Google some of the salient features of Thoughtsite are:
- a flexible system that could be used for any kind of discussion forum.
- voting, tagging, comments and a reputation point system for users.
- full text search on App Engine with Apache Lucene.
- search for threads by tags or by keywords. Threads can also be linked to from user profiles.
- users gain reputation points based on community votes for their contributions.
- full-fledged user profiles with info, points, contributions, user's personal tag cloud, etc.
- basic duplication detection filters to detect similar threads so posters can avoid creating a new thread if one already exists.
- basic spam and gaming filters (self-voting, cross-voting, etc.).
- comprehensive admin section that allows moderation of individual posts and users. Users can flag objectionable content or trolls.
Unlike Amazon and Windows Azure, Google App Engine users also get certain free quotas, so it is unlikely you will incur any charges while you are testing your application. In fact if you have a very limited audience, you might be able get by on Google App Engine without paying at all.
Flash to get 3Dier in the future
It would seem that good things lie ahead for 3D content on Flash. Unfortunately, it would seem that we will have to wait until October before we get the full details. Talk about a long wait!
When Flash Player 10 first came out over two years ago, it touted new 3D features, but that was not the first hint of 3D on Flash. Long before that developers had created libraries which took advantage of the powerful vector manipulation feature of Flash to create entire 3D engine which would “emulate” three dimensions, by placing and shading 2D objects on the screen. With such clever manipulations of textures and shapes it was possible to create entire 3D games.
What Flash 10 allowed developers to do is 3D manipulation of 2D objects, which is often refereed to as 2.5D. Now all that changed was that these pseudo-3D engines could take advantage of another new pseudo-3D technology in the Flash Player to push the limits of 3D on the internet.
While this has been going on, new web standards for 3D content on the web have begun to emerge, called WebGL. WebGL uses OpenGL ES as a base making it easy to get into for those who are already familiar with developing OpenGL applications, however it might be a little complicated for many of those from a purely web background to get into.
This is just conjecture, but Adobe might be trying for their own 3D engine for the new Flash Player. Adobe has already done quite a bit getting hardware-accelerated video and vector rendering on their Flash 10.1 player, and getting it to work on all kind of mobile devices. Perhaps “true” 3D rendering could be next? This could push the envelope for 3D gaming on the internet.
Flash Player is not the only solution out there though, as Macromedia’s (now Adobe) Director had been in use for creating 3D games and content for internet use from a long time, and now we also have Unity3D. Flash Player has the advantage of better multimedia and 2D features along with a higher penetration. Responding to a comment about 3D being available in Shockwave from 10 years, Thibault Imbert (Product Manager for the Adobe Flash Player focused on graphics and rendering) replied that they would take a different approach to 3D than Shockwave did, and that they “will do things differently giving much more diversity and power to the users without forgetting ease of use too.”
From this it really does seem like we will be getting a taste of some real 3D in the next iteration of Flash Player. Hopefully Adobe will be good enough to drop some information our way so we wont need to wait nearly three months for a hint of what’s to come.

FUJIFILM FinePix Real 3D W1 - world's first 3D camera [review] - price Rs. 39,999
If price were not to be a constraint, the camera appeals as an average 2D camera for casual and household use; but really fails to do justice as a high-end 3D camera incorporating full 2D functionality that could satisfy the needs of a performance hungry user.
Cons
Basically shooting a 3D image involves 'aim and shoot' technique and the automatic parallax control feature enabled by default comes in handy for this purpose. The automatic parallax control takes care of adjusting the 3D images to avoid mis-aligned subjects in the 3D frame. However, there is a manual mode also available for the enthusiastic and professional photographers to tinker and adjust the 3D image settings.
Pros
- Incorporates Face Detection 3 technology - captures faster & accurate images even with moving subjects
- Adds the benefit of Red-Eye Removal technology
- Equipped with dual CCD sensors to capture stereoscopic 3D images
Cons
- The camera does not ship with an optical view finder
- The bulky camera does not ship with a carry bag or camera pouch
- 3D goggles not shipped with the camera
Overview:
FUJIFILM owns the leadership in building the world's first 3D digital camera 'Finepix Real 3D W1' with two stereoscopic lenses (left and right) and two 10MP image sensors. It lets the user to shoot both 2D and 3D images/videos and view them on the 2.8-inch LCD screen without the use of 3D goggles. However, to view the 3D stereoscopic images on the computer, one has to wear the 3D goggles or one has to purchase the 3D Viewer from Fujifilm.
Build Quality:
The FinePix Real 3D W1 is quite bulky due to the presence of two separate lenses with two 10MP sensors. It has a strong and sturdy all-plastic body casing with a piano black finish, and dimensions of 123.6 (W) x 68 (H) x 25.6 (D) mm. it hardly weighs 260g. However, its slightly bulky body and delicate nature of the LCD screen would prompt us to carry it in a camera pouch or a camera bag for better safety. It has an appealing look with metallic black and silver colour schemes, bright-blue illuminated controls and a sliding door acting as lens cover. In spite of having a metallic finish, the body shell provides a comfortable grip for improved dexterity while handling the camera. The overall build quality mirrors the standards of an average digital camera.

Features and Functionality:
Sliding down the lens cover on the front of the FinePix Real 3D W1 reveals two 3x optical zoom lenses, built-in flash unit at the center and mini-stereo speakers on either side. The 35 to 105mm effective focal range stands out in 3D photography where it is difficult to produce a 3D image with a fixed focal length lens. The zoom control and shutter button are located on top of the camera, along with an infrared port that is intended to allow the user to send or receive images (but not movies) from another Fujifilm camera or device with high-speed IR capability (however the IR functionality test failed during our review). The factory recommended range to share images through IR capability is: 5-20cm between the camera and the other device. Also, the two infrared ports should be aligned at an angle of 15 degrees or lesser and pointing at each other to get proper signal reception. Other notable feature of the FinePix Real 3D W1 is the automatic image compression technology that re-sizes the image file before transmitting to the other device over Infrared. A battery and memory card compartment is located at the bottom of the camera, along with a plastic tripod socket at the center.
2D snapshot - Macro
Since the manufacturer shipped only with a 3D camera without the 3D viewer or print service, we could only test the 3D image quality on the FinePix Real 3D W1's LCD screen. We could feel the 3D realism in the text that appeared in the menus over the LCD screen and also while shooting in the 3D mode. However, it is good to note that we are getting a stereoscopic image, creating an illusion of depth from two layered images presented separately to each eye in 2D to simulate a 3D effect. It is not literally true 3D.
