Ini Dia, Add-On Firefox Pembawa Trojan Berbahaya

Mozilla mengakui adanya notifikasi keamanan bahwa add-on eksperimen untuk browser Firefox mengandung Trojan di dalamnya yang dapat menginfeksi mesin Windows. Sementara untuk pengguna Mac dan Linux tidak terinfeksi. Namun, Mozilla telah menghapus add-on tersebut dari halaman resminya, tetapi pihaknya memperkirakan ada 5,000 add-on yang telah di-download oleh user.

“Dua add-on eksperimen, Sothink Web Video Downloader versi 4.0 dan semua versi dari Master Filer, kami temukan mengandung kode Trojan yang ditujukan untuk komputer pengguna Windows. Sothink Web Video Downloader versi 4.0 mengandung Trojan Win32.LdPinch.gen dan Master Filer membawa Trojan Win32.Bifrose.32.Bifrose. Kedua add-on tersebut telah di-disable dari Add-Ons untuk Firefox.” ungkap Mozilla.

Mozilla mengingatkan bahwa user yang telah men-download add-on tersebut akan memiliki komputer yang terinfeksi Trojan. Dengan meng-instal add-on tersebut, maka trojan akan dieksekusi setelah Firefox restart. Sementara dengan meng-uninstal add-on tersebut tidak akan menumpas Trojan tersebut. Untuk itu, Mozilla menyarankan untuk user menggunakan program antivirus untuk menghapus malware tersebut.(h_n)

Hacker China Serang Infrastruktur Backbone Google?

Google akan menghentikan sensoring di hasil pencariannya dan akan mengembalikan semuanya setelah menemukan komputer mereka telah dimasuki hacker dan berhasil membuka account email mereka yang dilakukan oleh aktivitas asal China. Sebelumnya, Google masih mematuhi hukum China yang meminta beberapa hal sensitive berkaitan dengan politik dan social China harus diblokir dari hasil pencarian yang tertampil di negara lain. Google menjelaskan dalam blog-nya yang telah mendeteksi serangan besar dari China yang ditujukan untuk infrastruktur corporate Google pusat.

Sebuah investigasi lantas dilakukan Google, dan hasilnya ditemukan tujuan utama dari hacker tersebut adalah untuk mengakses account Gmail dari aktivitas hak manusia asal China. Google sendiri tidak secara spesifik menuduh pemerintah China, namun Google kemudian mengambil keputusan untuk tidak menyensor hasil pencarian di search engine Googl.cn. Keputusan tersebut, lanjut Google, dapat memaksa Google untuk mematikan Google.cn dan kantornya di negara tersebut.

Elum diketahui seberapa banyak bisnis Google yang akan mengalami kerugian atas peristiwa tersebut. Namun, Google masih bertahan untuk menguasai search engine di China, dengan market pencarian sebesar 30 persen dan 60 persen untuk search engine local, Baidu Inc.(h_n)

Google Terbitkan Layanan Translasi di Smartphone

Google telah meluncurkanm satu layanan translasi baru untuk turis dengan mono-lingual bahasa Inggris, yang menyelamatkan para turis dari kesalahan berbicara ketika di restoran. Perusahaan search engine tersebut tersebut merilis teknologi translator tersebut di Mobile World Congress minggu ini yang kemudian berencana mengaplikasikan menu tersebut di smartphone untuk translasi instant ke dalam bahasa Inggris.

Namun, sayangnya prototype Google tersebut hanya dapat mentranslate bahasa ke Jerman ke Inggris. Tetapi untuk ke depannya, Google berharap teknologi tersebut dapat digunakan untuk mentranslate semua hal mulai dari rambu jalan, poster dan bahkan novel antara 52 bahasa.

Menurut manager marketing product Google, Andrew Gomez, layanan translator tersebut masuk ke ekstensi Google Goggles, yang memudahkan user untuk mencari web tersebut menggunakan ponsel atau smartphone mereka, daripada mengetik text-nya. Translasi tersebut menggunakan teknologi optical character recognition untuk men-scan kata yang tertulis dan mengubahnya ke text computer yang kemudian dimasukkan ke Google Translate.

Cara menyimpan seluruh isi web/blog sekaligus

Mungkin Anda pernah menjumpai sebuah situs web atau blog yang menurut Anda bagus, kemudian Anda ingin menyimpan seluruh artikelnya di komputer, atau menyimpan semua gambar-gambarnya :) . Cara men-download sebuah web site
Pada window Pagenest, klik panah hijau pada menu bar sebelah atas, maka akan muncul window seperti ini:



Isilah dengan data:

• Address of the site, isilah dengan URL web yang akan di-copy ke komputer Anda, misalnya http://tutorialgratis.net/ atau http://tutorialgratis.net/indeks/
• Klik select untuk menentukan tempat menyimpan file Anda.

Sebagai percobaan, isilah address dengan http://tutorialgratis.net/indeks/

Klik Next kemudian klik Advanced.

Menentukan kedalaman menyimpan
Klik pada bagian Advanced, di sini Anda akan diminta menentukan kedalaman website dihitung dari halaman pertama. Kedalaman 1 adalah halaman itu sendiri. Misalnya jika Anda menyimpan halaman http://tutorialgratis.net/indeks/ dengan kedalaman 2, maka seolah-olah Anda menyimpan halaman itu ditambah halaman yang terbuka jika semua link pada halaman itu di-klik satu kali. Halaman ini (artikel yang sedang Anda baca), juga ikut tersimpan karena merupakan salah satu link di halaman indeks yang berisi daftar seluruh artikel.

Untuk mencoba, atur kedalaman menyimpan 2 halaman seperti pada gambar di bawah ini.



Selanjutnya klik Next dan Download. Akan muncul sebuah window yang dapat di-minimize.



Pada gambar di atas terlihat jumlah file total (Files) dan jumlah file yang akan di-download (ToDo). Untuk menghentikan sementara, klik Pause, sedangkan untuk menghentikan download dan menyimpan web site tersebut ke komputer Anda, klik Pause & Parse. Tunggu beberapa saat, setelah itu Anda dapat membuka file seluruh isi website yang di-download secara offline tanpa terkoneksi internet.

Layanan SMS Web Mobile Facebook Zero Segera Sambangi Operator Telekomunikasi

Ketenaran Facebook memang bukan isapan jempol semata. Terbukti dari keberhasilannya yang membuat perbedaan internet di komputer dan ponsel lepas dari batasnya. Pada agenda Mobile World Congress 2010 yang dilaksanakan di Barcelona, Chamath Palihapitiya, salah satu perwakilan dari Facebook telah mempresentasikan rencana terbaru situs jejaring sosial ternama tersebut, yang mana kini lebih memfokuskan diri di bisnis jejaring sosial berbasis mobile. Memang salah satu faktor keberhasilan Facebook adalah karena mampu merambah pasaran ponsel dan menyebabkan lahirnya berbagai model hp online.

Palihapitiya juga sempat memperkenalkan sesuatu yang baru dan belum pernah diperkenalkan ke publik sebelumnya yaitu Facebook Zero.

Di sana Anda akan melihat semacam pengumuman bahwa operator Anda belum bisa menggunakan layanan tersebut.
