Warcraft 1.24b Patch Downloads and Updates
Get ready for the next update of Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne. The next patch is going to be Warcraft 1.24b Patch.

There have been a lot of questions about 1.24 and DotA, so I'm going to take the time here to answer them.
A new warcraft patch has been released with the focus on fixing a bug that could cause you to get a virus when joining a game. As a result of this, some core Warcraft 3 functions that are used in DotA and most other maps had to be removed. To make up for the significant loss in functionality, new replacement functions were also added to the patch.
Some confusion comes from the fact that some maps like 6.59d work under 1.24. This is only partially true. There is nothing special about those maps, 1.24 is configured to run some maps in temporary 1.23 compatibility mode while 1.24 is further developed. The patch has not been properly configured to run 6.61b in this mode, so 6.61c will be released. That map has no changes except the version string.
As a result of the function changes, maps are not cross compatible between 1.24 and pre-1.24. A lot of code in has to be rewritten for maps to become compatible with 1.24. The next version of DotA (6.62) has all of its code updated to follow the 1.24 requirements.
As of right now, 1.24 still has various bugs in it's functions that prevent most 1.24 maps from running properly on it. As these issues get fixed in coming 1.24b/1.24c patches, 6.62 beta will be updated alongside them. As soon as the new patch is stable and 6.62 is tested on it sufficiently, it will be released. Hopefully the map will return to a stable code state in the very near future.
Once the 6.62/1.24 situation is over, regular map development will resume. The versions that follow it will most likely focus primarily on balance improvements and performance tweaks.
For people that cannot easily do multiple patch upgrades (net cafes for example), I recommend you wait until 1.24b/c is released before undergoing that effort.

Death Knights
* Frost Presence: Armor bonus is now 60% down from 80%.
Druids
* Improved Barkskin: This talent now also grants 80/160% additional armor while in Travel Form or not shapeshifted.
* Improved Tree of Life: The armor bonus to Tree of Life Form from this talent has been reduced to 67/133/200% bonus armor.
Hunters
* Hunter's Mark: The ranged attack power bonus from this ability has been increased from 300 to 500.
* Master Marksman: This talent now also decreases the cost of Aimed Shot and Chimera Shot by 5/10/15/20/25%.
Paladins
* Eye For An Eye: This talent now deals 5/10% of the critical strike damage taken by the paladin back at the attacker.
* Hand of Freedom: The base duration of this buff has been reduced from 10 seconds to 6 seconds.
Rogues
* Overkill: Talent redesigned. Now increases energy regeneration by 30% while stealthed, and for 20 seconds after breaking stealth.
Warlocks
* Chaos Bolt: This spell no longer ignores damage reduction effects of the target.
Warriors
* Blood Frenzy: This talent now provides 5/10% haste instead of 3/6%.
* Bloodthirst: Cooldown reduced from 5 seconds to 4 seconds, and rage cost reduced from 30 rage to 20 rage.
* Juggernaut: This talent now also increases the cooldown on Charge by 5 seconds.
Items
* Death Knight PvP Gauntlets: The chance to refresh a Frost Rune when casting Chains of Ice has been removed. When equipped, these gloves now generate 5 additional runic power whenever Chains of Ice is used.

+ The flight time of Rocket Strikes has been increased, and Rocket Strikes will try to prefer players at range.

* Saronite Animus gets increased health.
* Changes in the Mimiron hard mode.
* Boss creatures unaffected by Frozen Power talent.
* Tenacity in Wintergrasp gives a stronger buff to players.
* Hostile targets do not receive a shield from the Stoneclaw Totem
* Players cannot attack Katherine Lee in Dalaran.
* Players do not consume extra 25-rage when Shattering Throw.
* Players will be able to sell and disenchant the Gauntlets of the Wretched
* Players will have a harder time in skipping Tympanic Tantrum on XT-002 Deconstructor.
* Discerning Eye of the Beast returns mana regardless of the level.

Fixing Warcraft 3 Registry Error
Fixing Warcraft 3 Registry Error.How can I install Warcraft 3 1.23 patch update? There's an error appeared while I'm installing it. I need some advice!?! Maybe some of you here encountered this kind of problem while installing patch 1.23 update. Here's a tip how will you fix this errors manually.
1. Go to Start button and go to Run then type regedit-
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\
3. Create new key, name it 'Warcraft III' (don't include the quotes)
4. On right side of new key entry, right click and create new string value
5. Name it 'InstallPath' (don't include the quotes)
6. Change the value of InstallPath to wherever you installed it (example: 'c:\warcraft 3\')
7. Reinstall Warcraft 1.23 Patch. (this time your war3 will be installed without any errors)
8. Enjoy! your Warcraft is patched to 1.23.

Warcraft 3 TFT Patch 1.23/ Patch 1.23 installed on Westfall test realm.There's a site that I found and discusssing about Warcraft 3 tft patch 1.23. I guess this topic is to all who love the game warcraft you need to know about this because this is an update about the patch in Warcraft.

- Blizzard has installed a new patch on their test realm, which can be accessed if connecting to Westfall in the list when connecting to Battle.net. From the patch notes, it appears to be a small update with no balance changes.
Aside from a new banner ad system, the new patch includes a fixed patch issue for Intel Macs and "an exploit where an altered custom map would be seen identical to the original custom map". -
