Nokia N8 Launched in India, for Rs. 26,259

Nokia N8 Launched in India, for Rs. 26,259
The Nokia N8 has been officially launched in India, and will be available at Nokia Priority Stores. Priced at Rs. 26,259, the Nokia N8 represents the Finnish phone maker’s top smartphone model, and flags the way for the got _ a _ lot _ to _ prove Symbian^3 operating system.

If you are dying to get yourself an N8, and just can’t rustle up the bank notes, then take heart in knowing that Nokia is providing an easy- EMI scheme that will get you a Nokia N8 with three equal monthly installments, and zero percent interest.

Apart from the amazing 12MP camera, useful USB, and smooth 720p HD video output, Nokia is also promoting the N8 as a platform for a plethora of applications. Not only will the N8 have access to a majority of older apps from the Ovi Store, it will support the Nokia-developed and essential Qt framework. This will surely see a large number of developers making apps for Symbian, and, give them the flexibility of programming for the numerous other platforms that are supported by the Qt framework.

If you aren’t yet sure about going ahead and investing a rather hefty sum into the new kid on the block, then take a little breather, and wait for the Digit review by staying tuned to thinkdigit.com, or, scoping out your local magazine stand on November 1st.

Do let us know what you think about the choice of Symbian^3, the N8 device itself, its price and easy-EMI options, in the comments section below, and whet your appetite with our little hands-on.
