Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, the mobile once known as Shakira, has lastly been launched in India after being officially unveiled more than a month back. It's now priced at Rs. 13,900, which is a fair bit lower than the 15,900 expected price. It costs somewhere in between the the Xperia X10 Mini and the Xperia X10 Mini Pro, fitting in nicely and making it a moderately eye-catching deal. Now sporting a vastly customized UI on top of Android 1.6, the Xperia X8 should get an update to Android 2.1 in the near future, along with the rest of the Xperia family.
